The world is swept by a new mysterious disease that turns people into stone. Since no cure could be found, scientists started a programm to save humankind by putting a group of people into cryogenic stasis until they eventually will find a cure.
But after waking up - the survivors realize that the scientists plan has failed and dangerous creatures now roam in the meant to be safe secret retreat.
As usual in japanese sci-fi stories it will get more complicated and results in a mind blowing finale. A ending you would not have seen coming.
It might not be on the same level of Neon Genesis Evangelion but it is one of the very few movies of the genre that really made a lasting impression on me.
As the title already says : a movie about - who would have guessed - waiting tables!
Simple topic but pretty entertaining.
I've watched "Waiting" several times for 2 main reasons
Ryan Reynolds - some of you might hate him (especially because of the green lantern) but he really got a fitting role with "Monty" in this movie (and will be a great deadpool - just saying)
David Koechner - playing "Dan" the obnoxious Manager of the Restaurant. After watching "Waiting" i watched other movies just because he got a role in them. He deserves far more credit.
Adam's apples - a special type of comedy. A danish movie with dry humor.
Usually i prefer the humor of over the top comedies like Harold & Kumar or Van Wilder.
But this foreign movie's rediculous dialogues and scenes really got me.
A nazi is sentenced to community service at a church. And right from the start nazi Adam tries to pick up fights with priest Ivan (played by glorious Mads Mikelsen) just to learn that he denies everything bad in the world. Adam promisses to break Ivan somehow and sets a goal for himself - to bake an apple pie using the curch's appletree's apples. But the tree gets struk by various plagues.
The humor lies within Ivan's dialogues and the weird combo of the curch-"staff"
Gunnar - an "ex" alcoholic, cleptomanic and sex offender
Khalid - a gas station robber
and Sarah - a pregnant woman with alcohol problems
In deny of everything bad - Ivan made me rage just listening to him. Adam breakes Ivan's nose 2 times throughout the movie giving him a rediculously deformed and funny look.
He tells a pregnant woman to get a baby that will be most likely handicapped because his son was supposed to be handicapped aswell and came out perfectly fine. Ofcourse - further in the movie - his son is a complete vegetable. Things like these make this movie pretty much hilarious.
Again an anime movie that ill suggest to you guys.
A completely spaced out scifi-race movie
its got speed
its got style
and ofcourse an ending you would not expect at all
just like every story from anime writers it has got the right ammount of mindfuck to it
only flaw might be the music
in my opinion an other genre would have matched the style much more
as for all my movie-suggestions - protipp:
adding THC to your system before watching will GREATLY enhance the experience

It does something - other movies won't. It is harsh comedy - most of it most certainly disgust the very mainstream moviegoers.

Justice - it is like somehow a dream comes true.
A decent man gets pushed over the edge.
His neighbors are the worst people on earth - their baby is an evil abomination.
He gets fired for absolutely no reason and finally is diagnosed with terminal cancer.
But instead of ending his life - he decides to end the lifes of the ones not worthy of living.
Ok many of you may dislike kristen stewart because of the twilight series
but there was a movie before all that twilight sh*t started (not rly - but i watched adventureland before twilight)
that movie made me literally fall in love with her
from the director of superbad
the title may remind you of that pretty nice zombie/comedy flick
The trash movies i post are mostly the only ones i know. im not a huge fan of the genre but there are a few that are really rediculously good.
especially the actors staring in them are famous
and this ones got it all
its plain stupid but mega entertaining

If you watched some asian movies/animes you might have come across some bizarr scenes. some may just have disturbed you or left you wondering why the protagonists act so extremely illogical.
well they may be have something to do with these mysterious ways asian culture has from time to time
but if you are not scared away by sometimes gross contents the following could be a very entertaining experience
